How do you practice natural health?
Check out what our readers have to say...
In July of 2004, I was diagnosed with Follicular Lymphoma (which is located under my jaw). After being told by three oncologists that this type of cancer is slow growing but very difficult if not impossible to cure, I decided to research out what alternative treatments are out there for me to try. I also ruled out taking radiation treatments because I was told that the radiation could possibly destroy the saliva glands; the thyroid and could bring on other types of cancer.
I feel that God works in strange ways. I was at a plant sale when I first met a†woman named Colleen (a retired nurse) who was diagnosed with colon and rectal cancer. Her physicians told her she had six months to live – that was almost seven years ago! Colleen told me she had been treating herself with natural herbs; organic food and vitamins; and she gave me the name of a book called "Health Through God's Pharmacy" written by Maria Treben. This book has sold over 3,000,000 copies in Europe. I purchased this book and have been treating myself since last year. To date, my tumor (which originally was the size of a walnut) has shrunk to the size of a pea. I can hardly wait to go back to my oncologist in September and see what he has to say.
I have also researched out and have learned that our "PH" levels are crucial to having optimal health. I purchased the book "The PH Miracle" written by Dr. Robert Young. By the way, there's more than one book written on this subject.
I accidentally met another lady at the hospital†after I had a CAT Scan done who previously owned a pet store.† She verified that the fish tanks have to have†the PH level†balanced in order for the fish to live and thrive. If the water is too acidic, the fish will die. Why are our bodies any different? According to this book, if we balance out our acid/alkaline levels, there would be no cancer; heart disease or diabetes.
After diagnosis, with the type of cancer I have, I understand six to eight years is†the average time of life expectancy. It will be interesting to see if I'm still here far beyond that time frame.
To date, I am radiation - chemo free and feel that the results I'm getting are enough†to convince me that there are alternative treatments available and very much effective. This information I've learned has been invaluable to me. I'm hoping we see the day†where the medical field will team up with the wholelistic/alternative field and, needless to say, we would have a dynamo system.
P. S. I very much enjoy each issue of "Stressfree Living". Keep them coming.

Natural health indeed is a beautiful thing!† Rather than automatically reaching for "white sugar and white flour" items, I am learning to eat many more whole grains, daily fruits and vegetables and enjoying more real juices. This summer I have enjoyed healthful outdoor exercising – Exploring the many bike trails our area has to offer, all while getting the added benefits of fresh air and added sunlight. I have finally convinced myself that eating a "real" breakfast is a must for optimum results throughout the day. I continue to work on getting a good night’s rest by going to bed at consistent times and an earlier hour. The fact that I’m actually ready to get up with the daily 5am alarm makes all these goals well worth the effort.

My first step is to find moments of calm. I must, in the midst of the chaos of everyday living, always be aware of the peace and stillness that exists within. I do this by practicing a daily spriritual exercise. This allows me to get the guidance needed in each day - each moment - to get connected to what my body currently needs for its next level of health. I definitely have a supply of supplements, but some come and some go, depending, again on the guidance I can tune into.† What a joy to practice the dance of natural health!

I believe to practice natural health is to live naturally. I practice natural remedies and holistic treatments when there becomes a problem with my body, mind or spirit. I also do all natural beauty treatments using natures products. I am really in to doing any thing possible to use what god have gaven us on earth for disposal. Thank you
