How do you make time for yourself during the holidays?
Check out what our readers have to say...
It's my treasured little tradition. Once we are done enjoying our Thanksgiving meal, there is a group of family and friends who like to stay home, clean up and recover from the food coma while another group of us like to go on a hike. Although I am not alone, I am with the people and in the environment I want to be in. I can enjoy the fresh air, the crunch of the leaves beneath my steps and continue great conversation with the people I love. I would choose nothing else. Gloria - Victoria, MN
For the past five years I have made special Thanksgiving gifts for all of my friends and family who come to our home for dinner. The process of making them has become my time away, being creative and putting thought and tenderness into each gift. Lori - Stillwater, MN
I take a ME day! Almost every day throughout the year I spend time running my kids from one activity to the next, buying groceries, clothes for them and low and behold picking up after them each night. One day a year, I treat myself, I go to the spa to get my hair done, eat lunch where I want and go shopping for no one other than me. It's is a true departure and celebration from my everyday life! Kim - Minneapolis, MN - Our November Winner
